NEW SHOP!

Spring 2008 Update!
Although we have opened a shop on Etsy, currently no inventory has been posted. If you are interested in visiting our shop/studio, please visit our website and contact us through the bio section.

After 10 wonderfully successful years, we took a breather from Art Bound Camp due to a kitchen rennovation in 2007! We're restructuring our 2008 summer plans and workshops!

Creative Digital Journaling: Food for Play/Thought

The Journal Lady® has been fluctuating between hands-on journaling with:
• traditional art supplies and
• digital journaling with photographs manipulated in Photoshop.

Note: Antoinette's recent feature on "The Painter's Keys" popular website (click title above) . . . for an interesting article.

Many times photographic images began with mundane subject matter which quickly transpired into challenging compositions. In this particular case, a hospital tray of •BLAH• food was transformed into an Andy Warholized poster which was taken one step further as a CONTEST! . . . . playing with one's food was definitely in order with this exercise.

Dedicated, Fun Play!

The camp week is usually culminated with a piece which has developed in stages every day, using various techniques such as watercolor washes, resists, tissue collage, pressed flowers from A Writer's Garden and lettering. Quotations are selected to compliment the piece and generally take the form of a short poem, a few words, or a haiku.

A Delicious Summer

Summer was colorful, creative and delicious! A few of the Art Bound Campers brought special snacks to share. The Journal Lady® used all her senses to appreciate the contributions. Swirling memories of a fruit platter was one way of capturing the moment!
